Reading is empowering and leads to success—personally and economically. The adults on Tomaro Island have expressed their desire to learn as they observe their children engaged in the process of learning. They are excited to see the way their children are thriving and they want to learn and thrive, too.
The Dream School Foundation is dedicated to providing valuable educational programming to the adults in the Tomaro community and in Tohon, once the new secondary school is up and running there.
Currently, more than 30 adults from the Tomaro community are learning reading and mathematics four days a week, two hours a day. We will recognize the accomplishments of these adults at our yearly graduation ceremonies.
